Leaf Sorcery
Step into a world of enchantment with Leaf Sorcery! This magic tea brand is on a mission to add some fun and whimsy to market saturated with health and fitness focused products. Each flavor has a unique story and unique collectable cards creating a tea that is more than a drink, but a welcoming and refreshing entry point to tea drinking for all audiences.
Summoning circle
The magic begins with every sip! The physical packaging is like a spellbook come to life, with each flavor representing a unique spell.
Every container is shaped like a mystical tome, with page-like edges and a design that allows for front-facin or sideways display. Stack multiple containers together and you've got a bookshelf of spells at your fingertips!

Story time
Each flavor houses a unique wizard, who specializes in the potion that you seek. Whether you're looking for the healing benefits of ginger lemon or the calming effect of lavender honey, each wizard comes with their own story.
With full illustrations on the inside, cards, and tea packets, I wanted the designs to be a pop of color that would not only enhance the brand's narrative potential, but also be inviting and enjoyable for new tea drinkers.
Sharing is caring
What could be more enjoyable than sipping tea with friends? And the experience becomes even better when you can play a game while enjoying your tea! Each package includes a unique playing card that can be collected or traded with your friends and used to play a game once you have enough.
I always enjoyed reading the smalls details in the flavor writing of card games like Magic the Gathering and thought this could be a great opportunity to add some fun to the brand language and story.

Process
I truly enjoyed the problem-solving aspect of this project. Creating a package was a new challenge for me, so I immediately started building rapid prototypes to see which design made the most sense in terms of branding and practicality.
I wanted the brand to have a unique and playful touch, but at the same time, I didn't want the opening ceremony to be overshadowed by frustration in case someone wanted to use the product on a daily basis.
After trying various forms, like a card box and a mini dungeon, I settled on the book form being the best choice both from a practical and branding standpoint.
